The Franklin Review from the Tennessean

I have called them for three weeks straight to stop delivering this ****.

I do not have a Tennessean subscription. I do not want that garbage in my driveway every Wednesday. I have tried not picking it up hoping they would get the hint and not drop it off the next week. Instead I have 3 soaking ass bags full of mushy paper instead of 1. I must have just not noticed yesterday because today I found one on each side of my driveway.

One of the talk radio hosts in Chattanooga went to war with the Free-Press over this kind of thing. He even tried to get them in trouble with a littering offense. I don't think much ever came of it but it was entertaining to listen to the lengths he went to.

I would love to not get it either but it is just like junk mail; It never makes it into the house. I hate how wasteful that is but I'm not sending it out.

I wonder how much gas and fuel we waste each year getting the stuff printed and delivered to the post office, then the post office delivers it to me, then I throw it in the trash where the trash company carries it to the dump...

Watch for the delivery, follow him to his house, save a few months of the rag, personally deliver on top of his vehicle.

A few years ago, Rick Igo (nooga.com) got on a tear about this.

He urged readers to pick up the flyers and take them to the TFP on 11th st. and dump them at the front door.

Seemed like a good solution to the aggravation. :D
