Sig custom gunsmith service

I bought a sig 229 from a member here a few months back. I like the gun a lot and will probably keep it for a while. I was thinking of sending it to Sig to have there service dept do this work on it.

Sig Service Plan – (for guns that are over 1 year old) We detail strip the entire firearm, Ultrasonic clean and inspect critical components, replace most commonly worn springs, lubricate and function test assuring combat readiness. We will also install new SigLite night sights! $129.95* (excludes P230/232 and older P220 models w/fixed front sight). Tru-glo front site or Adjustable Combat rear (with taller front non-adj) can be purchased for an additional $20.00.

Has anyone had this done?

Do you think its worth the money?

And should I get the Tru-glo front site for $20 extra?

With the high cost of shipping guns I have to remember to factor that in. Which usually kills most work for me or I just take it to Jeff at Guns and Leather if I can't do it my self.

The labor for Jeff to use the right tools is usually less then shipping for sights I have had done.
