I guess it is there version of a cheaper FN Five Seven???

No, it's different.

It is an amazingly well built pistol with an un-KelTec like trigger. No long heavy pull at all. Light short and crisp is the name of the game.

Judging from the prototype that I got to see, one will be in my safe as soon as they are released.

Mike, where'd you see the prototype? BTW, I ran an bodyshop parts truck thru Arrington for Keystone up until last year. Did we possibly meet?

TGO Guns and Gear Expo.

I was there, Guess I just missed it. Going blind in old age. But I'm looking forward to it also. Really like the idea of a semiauto 22wmr. I'vve got an old S&W K frame, a 4'' Combat Masterpiece that is an absolute dream to shoot. A little loud, but very accurate. The only complaint I ever had... it would lock up after about 15 rounds. Had to cool down and wipe it down before firing again. Had a good smith check it out and was told that the frame/cyclinder tolerances on it were so close because the pistol was produced as a target gun and probablly not shot much until I got it. Anyway, a little filing and fitting and about 15 minutes had it corrected.

I've been looking into this gun. Looks awesome to me. 30 rounds of 22 magnum in a lightweight, easy to carry package will make a nice sidearm. I hope to have one this spring! I've been trying to research the ballistics of the 22 mag out of a pistol. anyone have any good links to show what the 22 mag round can do as a defensive round out of a pistol?

there is a ballistics table on north american airms website, bot those velocitys are out ofa 1 1/8 barrel and a 1 5/8" barrel, but that is better than no chart at all until you find a better chart

As Loon said, Oleg had it with him. It wasn't quite out for public display.
