I am meeting a guy tomorrow to look at his wasr 10/63. it has a 1985 manf. date. The gun according to the owner has no canting issues and is in very good condition. has nice blond wood stock set. The price is $320, comes with 2 mags. Do you AK guys think this is a good deal?

These are Romanian military spec AKM clones. They are currently used by Romanian Special Forces. They are currently being made, and because they are mil-spec, they are of higher quality compared to normal WASR rifles. The 2007 GP WASR-10/63 also has an updated front trunnion with added contact support for the bolt carrier.

I have an immaculate Romanian/Cugir WASR 10/63 with perfect blond furniture, threaded muzzle, side scope rail, and polished carrier that includes a green canvas sling, 2 mags, and no canted parts for $350 shipped or FTF in N. GA...... $340 FTF. MFG by Cugir in 1985, (85 stamped on trunnion) ...meaning it has a threaded bbl, and bayonet lug, stuff that was regulated in the AWB

That doesn't sound like a bad deal. As with anything the more you spend then usually the better the product. Just about any AK could be considered Good-To-Go. What is your primary use of this rifle going to be? Plinker? Self Defense? Mad Rampage?

plinker mostly, possible self defense if the need arose. I use my super soaker water gun for my sporadic mad rampages.

I put 100 rds thru it using both mags that came with it. Sights are dead on. no FTF. I am very happy with the purchase.
