The UN can have my guns when they send troops here to get em. They will need somewhere in the neighborhood of two hundred million troops to invade the South alone. Then after we run out of ammunition later that week, they can send the second wave in. :foot:

"All countries participate in the conventional arms trade and share responsibility for the 'collateral damage' it produces – widespread death, injuries and human rights abuses," said Rebecca Peters, director of the International Action Network on Small Arms in an Agence France-Presse interview. "Now finally governments have agreed to negotiate legally binding global controls on this deadly trade."

These folks need to study recent world history as it relates to gun control in various countries..........Let me rephrase that to say all Americans should study world history as it relates to gun control and how gun control has led to population control.

If they send people carrying guns and ammunition, we're not going to run out of things to shoot with. :)

Blue Helmet == Shoot Me

Yeah, we're starting to get into some ugly territory here. Let's not give anyone any "ammunition" to use against gun rights, ie... comments about shooting U.N. personnel. Armed insurrection against tyranny would be a horrible, bloody way to defend our rights. Let's all hope it never comes to that. I have seen first hand what civil war looks like in Bosnia; pray that never happens here.

I empathize with you...however if you are not prepared to fight back against tyranny it will bury you. I to hope it NEVER comes to that, but it possibly could, and in our lifetime to possibly

I would encourage the UN to mind their own business. Their tyranny is not welcome here.

I wouldn't be a member of this forum, nor a veteran, if I didn't believe in our right and duty to defend our way of life with all means at our disposal. I DO get concerned when some gun owners talk trash about killing anyone who tries to take their guns. Any fantasies you may have of gloriously defending your guns against a bunch of blue-helmeted pansies are a little naive. I would rather hide my guns than kill the men sent by someone else to take them.....but whatever, that's just me.

I see ALOT of folks getting killed on both sides of this coin.

If it's meant to be, so be it! That's a fight worth fighting! The first shot will

come from the ones opposing guns. Shows what a bunch of hypocrites their

arguments make them into.

No one in their right mind wants a large war on American soil. But it has happened many times before, 1775-82, 1812, and 1861-65. I just don't think it would be wise to think it would never happen here again. It's too easy to think of the wars I listed as being in distant antiquity. The last Confederate veterans died in the 1950s, not so long ago. What kind of Southerners/Americans would we be if we didn't voice our opinions to would-be enemies, letting them know we would defend our country viciously?

As someone else posted, the Japanese never thought to invade America because they knew what a spirited and well armed people we are. If we remain silent and let the gun haters speak for us, our enemies just might eventually get brave enough to believe there aren't many of us gun owners left.

If it ever came to it, a lot of people would indeed die. But I'm not going to live in some prison state run by a foreign regime and explain to my grandkids why my generation did nothing against a foreign military invasion. I hope I die very old in a free America, but if it turns out differently, so be it.

If we really value our rights accorded in the Constitution we would be fighting to gain back those infringements like the Gun Control Act, Machine Gun act, Firearm Owners Protection Act and anything else that is an infringement on the 2nd Amendment. That's where I have a problem with the NRA. There are plenty on here that seem to think this view is too extreme, but when one views his rights as sacred and another takes them away from him

in the name of protecting everyone, it is time to clean house.

The only threat our government is facing is us and that is the reason for the control. That should have been worrying us all from the beginning. If I remember correctly, the 2nd doesn't

classify one arm from another. The BATFE is a tool to use against us, as is the IRS. If they consider us that much of a threat, maybe they are right.
