I could have sworn about 5-6 years ago they had signs up.

I thought that was the big deal about going to Walmart after getting your permit, they had the signs up but as long as you kept it concealed you were ok.

everyone goes to Walmart because it is not posted. It is a very casual way to pop your "carry" cherry.

The only policy that Wally World has is actually regarding OC. If your CCW becomes visible, and a associate or customer has a problem with it, their policy allows them to either ask you to conceal it, or to leave...their choice. You can Google "Wal Mart concealed carry policy," and find this pretty easily.

I thought it was conceal or leave, YOUR choice. as in if you don't want to cover it, get out.

If I remember correctly, at one point Walmart did have a no gun policy...right up until the time when a woman with a concealed carry permit, was attacked in the parking lot, as she was leaving her local Wally World... Needless to say, the lawyers got involved, and after a nice cash settlement was reached, management decided, perhaps it would be cheaper to take down the no gun signs...

Or that's what I heard...

According to a store manager I talked to while performing an inspection in a Wal-Mart, if state law says you are allowed to carry a gun, concealed or open, Wal-Mart honors that customers right. He did say he didn't know why anybody would want to open carry, but I know that's a whole other can of worms.

i'm 28, got my permit when i was 21 and i could have swore they were posted when i first got mine, not legally though. they never had a picture of a gun or a law code. ....

You realize that a "picture" has nothing to do with making a posting statute compliant?
