i got a new laser light combo for my g23 and it wont fit on the tac rail. i guess glock isn't the standard pic rail like i thought it was. is there an adapter for this or do i need to get a new light just for the glock?

i wonder why this won't fit on the rail. the lock that slides into the groove is to large for the slot on the gun. should i just file the lock on the light down? i really want it to work on the glock but i also want to put it on my shotgun down the road and don't want to mess it up

me either...my neighbor gave it to me for working on his truck. it seems to be a good quality. hey, it didn't cost me any money! i took the light apart and pulled the lock tab off and i am shaving it down with my knife, i think this will work pretty good.

Didn't happen to notice if you could rotate that guide to a "narrow" position did you? I have seen some lights that you could adjust by moving the guide to match the pic rails. Was just a thought and apparently not needed now. If it works, its gravy!

There is picatinny, which has the little serrations and then there is weaver I think the glock comes with the weaver I cant remember though. I could have it reversed LOL.

From what I recall, Weaver and Picatinny are the same except Picatinny has uniform notch spacing

Right, which I dont think the weaver has. I think in order to get something to work on the weaver (without notches) that fits picatinny you need a picatinny rail adapter.
