Yah, the old movie from the sixties. He wants to stay out of the war, but some yankees kidnap his 16 year old son, and one thing leads to another, and a lot of his family are killed by yankees and scavengers, etc. It's worth watching.

I just watched "Shenandoah" for the first time. Darn Yankees! Made me mad.

One of the best movies of all time.

Jimmy stewart is my favorite actor.

I love the part where he says

"Lord thank thee for this food that WE planted and that WE harvested"

I have it on dvd.

I loved the cheyenne social club to it cracked me up.

"Shenandoah" was the movie that opened Eastgate Theater in the summer of I believe '65 or maybe '66. Iwas there on opening night. Damn! I'm old.:rolleyes:
