Military vs civil court

Am I the only one that looks simply at this... am I crazy? I think the reason POTUS wants these guys in our civil system is because in a military tribunal, IF they get the death penalty, HE would have to sign the order... and regardless of where he went to church in Chicago or anywhere else... his childhood was ingrained in Islam... and for him to sign a death warrant for another Muslim is a no-no... so by putting it in civil court, he avoids that situation? Does that make sense... or am I a moonbat?

Yeah, you're on to it. Also, consider the other side, that all the defense has to do is get a muslim on the jury and that pretty much locks the jury up so far as guilt and the death penalty goes.

JMHO,

Edit: Would any trial not be a criminal trial, vs civil?

Aren't those mutually exclusive issues? :):D:D

With press secretary Gibbs publicly stating as a fact that these guys are guilty and are going to be executed, he has effectively polluted the jury pool. These guys, guilty as they may be, could never get a fair civil trial, and their lawyers would use that to get them off. Eventually, the Pres will have to send them back to a military tribunal, which is how he'll save face from the idiotic suggestion of a civil trial.

True!

I addition to all that,Eric Holders old law firm is representing most of the terrorists in Gitmo.

Being they were never "Marandized" all evidence will be thrown out.

Yes, there is a possibility these pieces of garbage can walk.

Great job O-nitwit.:tinfoil:

And that could be construed as treason. Holder and Obama

should both have to answer to that. Obama is also

not protecting or defending the Constitution, is he?

There is nothing more awful and anti-freedom than a trial that is only designed to deliver a guilty verdict. By eliminating the possibility of the defendants being judged "not guilty" and thus allowed to walk away, our entire legal system is stained. This entire process is a major pooch-screw, which will allow the rest of the world the opportunity to scream about the inequities of our system of justice, should the defendants be returned to indefinite detention or military custody.

All the while, the screamers will forget to mention that their heroes, such as Chavez, Morales, Jibao, the Castro brothers, et al., do much worse to common political dissenters, whereas the US reserves such treatment for killers and terrorists engaged in war with our country.

Way to set up a good old fashioned "lose-lose" there, Holder! I hope Eric is ready to dive under the bus when it's his time to go, once the president has to sacrifice another one of his pals to preserve what little leadership value he has left in the kitty.

The only leadership value the messiah has is a Republican, Robert

Gates. Eric Holder's law partners represent those combatants and he has a history of getting terrorists pardoned circa Bill Clinton.

Turbo Tax Tim never had a leadership value. The messiah is no leader, either. The teleprompter, however, may have leadership

value.
