ISO a good, tuckable holster.

Hey Guys. It's my birthday soon and while putting together my wish list for the wife, I wanted to add a good, comfortable holster. The pistol I will be carrying is my recently acquired RIA Compact 1911 with a 3.5" barrel. I looking for something comfortable that will allow me to tuck in a shirt also. Any help and links to said holsters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I never had much luck trying to tuck much of anything, fortunately I don't have to anymore.

Crossbreed supertuck is a common choice.

One of my favorite makers, D.M. Bullard, makes Dual Carry, which allows tucking option. He also makes a tuckable IWB, but that one only has single clip on fat part of gun, something I don't personally recommend, but some seem to like it fine.

A simple and quickly received option is High Noon holsters' Split Decision, although again, it has single attachment at fat part of gun.

There are many others, these are just some to get you started looking.

I have several tuckable holsters but hardly ever tuck with them.

You can't go wrong with a Crossbreed. Might want to also look at Highnoon. I have a Highnoon split decision that I use almost all the time with an XD45C. I am currently waiting on a D.M. Bullard Dual Carry for my P220. it looks to be a high quality piece.

But for all out comfort my vote would be a Milt Sparks Versa Max 2. I have one for a 1911 and you will forget it is even there. Down side is a along wait to get one and probably one of the most expensive but worth it.

After posting this I'm begining to think I am a holster whore.

I have had very good experiences with H.B.E. Leatherworks' Pro TL Tuckable. Did up a general review of it here, but it is a decent holster, at a decent price, and from someone who actually produced holsters for the PPS (this was a problem when I ordered it about a year and a half ago). My only complaint is that I should have gone with a double-clip set-up, but that is my fault, not the fabricator's.

Crossbreed Supertuck is a good option.

As it the Comp-Tac MTAC.

But overall, Tucker's The Answer is the best IMHO.

+1 on D.M. Bullard - I've got multiple versions of his IWB tuckable and Dual Tuck

He's a great guy, makes a great product - and delivery is pretty close to what he advertises - 30 business days.

I carry my PPS daily in one of his holsters and always tuck my shirt in.

He makes a great belt, too.
