Springer 1911 Loaded range time

So I finally got to get to the range and kill some paper with my new Springer.

Let me start this off by saying that my only experience shooting 1911's was my buddy's Kimber and I HATED that gun. I just did not like the way it shot.

Now, on to my 1911. I LOVE THIS GUN! I put 100 target rounds down range and 12 rounds of my SD ammo (Winchester PDX cause its the only thing in stock in town). I shot the x ring out at 7 yards within the first 20 rounds or so. Much more accurate than I am and I was able to shoot the gun well with my weak hand, one handed, rapid shots, etc. Very nice gun to deal with. I am now officially a 1911 believer. Thank you Springfield!

Like I said my buddy has a stainless loaded with crimson trace laser grips that puts kimbers to shame and kicks em around in the dirt.

Congratulations on your experience - the Loaded is a superb handgun, and definitely puts your typical Kimber to shame. Glad to see another Springfield supporter.

Congrats I recently picked up a SA mil spec loaded and like you my first venture in 1911 territory and haven't been disappointed yet.

I've been using and abusing a Springfield Loaded model for the last 3 years in IDPA games, plus thousands more rounds in practice. I hope you have as good of luck with yours as I've had with mine. You can pay a lot more for a 1911 and not get any better a pistol, mine has close to 20,000 rds through it and the only part that has broken is the firing pin spring. The only malfunction so far was when a piece of corn cob media got stuck in the chamber, which kept the gun from going into battery. I have used it to test Slide-Glide lube and intended to shoot it without cleaning until it jammed, but gave up at a thousand rds. and went ahead and cleaned it. Shoot the crap out of it and enjoy it!
