Anyone have one of these or shot one, or have an any opinions? I'm thinking about selling/trading off my Spring. XD .40 SC for this for carrying.

I have one and as a rule I am very pleased with it. It has a very nice trigger pull for a double action only. I have not had one failure with it. At the time I bought it my wife had fired one round out of a semi auto prior to this, she too had no failures with it. They say they need a 200 round break in. Again no failures. It is very thin and conceals well. If you shake the magazine for some reason rounds will fall out. If you pull the slide back and ride it back down it won't chamber. If you pull the slide back and let go it will. You can also lock it open and release it. It will chamber every time. I am very pleased with mine, specially for the price. :D

Thanks for the opinions. As of right now the only thing I don't like about the Kahr is the lack of any type of safety mechanism. I'm so used to the grip and trigger safety of my XD especially when carrying. It gives me a higher comfort level.

Understandable, but the Kahr has a longer trigger pull than the XD.

I've carried both of mine for years. It's perfectly safe as is. Practice with it until you are comfortable AND used to the longer pull and you'll forget about the XD.

I have carried 3 different Kahrs as my main carry weapon. Started off with the P9, then went to the PM9 and now carry the P45. All have been very reliable and accurate. Like Beretta Racer said, practice with it till you're comfortable and you'll forget about the XD.

I've never fired a Kahr... They seem to handle and balance very well though, from what exposure I have had. I need to give one a try sometime.

The XD is certainly a nice gun, but I love my Kahr. I have the MK9, but the CW9 or 40 is on my wish list.

I'm not worried about carrying any of my guns; however, of all the handguns I own I feel the most at ease with the Kahr. Once you get used to the trigger you will feel better. It is long and takes a deliberate pull, it is smooth though. My XD and Glock never get carried anymore. Actually the Kahr has replaced the Glock. It'll be traded soon.
