Britain SUCKS!!!

One of our major art museums shows us the annual 2009 British Television Ad Awards. It's 1.5 hours of usually funny or intriguing ads for British products and a few Public Service Announcements. The one that disturbed (read: ANGERED) me was a two minute spot that spent 1:45 of it showing us many variations of knifing wounds in explicit detail. They instructed us to not take the knives out, as doing so can unplug or further damage the wound on its way out.

The last 15 seconds was a lab tech warning us not to carry knives for self-defense since the odds that it be used against us were 2 to 1. Stage 1 of disarmament is complete. Stage 2 is working on the knives. Stage 3 will be warnings against clubs, batons, etc. until they simply recommend just sitting there and taking it. This campaign is to thwart the rising number of stabbings that "suddenly" appeared.

235 years ago our elders did it right!

"Hey, Brit? Howsabout some sort of self-defense?"

"No, mate. We're doing fine on our side of the pond."

EDIT I found the official site to see all of the ads, yet you can't see the one I'm talking about, nor can you see the one about kids killing people with gun-shaped hand gestures. These ads won national awards for being ON THE AIR. Free to the public, but we can't see them.

They gave up their guns and now the Queen wants harmony and tranquility. "Please

give us your knives". "Cake or Death?" Liberalism on steroids.

The handgun video made me laugh. Looks like the need more police or armed citizens.

Britain will definitely go the "more police" and CCTV route.

Here's a poster from their metro police force.

The same things will be attempted here when the US Government believes the majority of the population is ready to accept it.

We should show this everywhere! Then give free tickets to the uk. That way all the bad guys will go where their job as a thug will be the best and less work. .....JUST SAYING!!!!

This is laughable. I can't wait til they ban knives and blugeonings and chokings take their place. How can anyone believe that the human desire to be violent can just be removed by taking away weapons?

And the food over there sucks too!

And, they have bad teeth.

This is twisted logic.

Reason #284 Why Great Britain Sucks

As we all know, Great Britain has some really stupid gun control laws that do nothing but punish their subjects while protecting criminals. Now it turns out they have added zero tolerance to their turd repertoire.

One of their subjects found a gun. Since guns are so evil and dangerous for mere peasants to have in the U.K. their loyal subject did what he thought he should to protect his fellow countrymen: he turned it in to police. In reward for his stalwart civic duty? Five years in prison.

Prosecuting, Brian Stalk, explained to the jury that possession of a firearm was a "strict liability" charge – therefore Mr Clarke's allegedly honest intent was irrelevant.

Just by having the gun in his possession he was guilty of the charge, and has no defence in law against it, he added.

Yup, find a gun, turn it in, get 5 years. What a deterrent for gun crime. He would have been better served to turn it over to a criminal. And I didn't think my ancestral home could become more of a socialist cesspool than it was already.

And the last words printed say: "We're worried," Trowsdale said. "We're going to be ever more vigilant. This is a time for everybody to think about the consequences of what this recession might bring."

This is like two different articles. It seems he's found the solution and apparently doesn't know it. It's the recession, dummy! If you're not worried about earning a living, you'll be less likely to get to killing.

Actually, Ford owned them from 1998-2008. They are now owned by Tata motors of India. 1465.gif

I like tatas. If you think about it, a Jaguar (think feline) and tatas go together quite well.

Is it an operation or what? Man I gotta get that done to my fingers! That was awesome. No toting a freakin gun around it's just in your fingers. Talk about concealed carry.

No FTF and pretty accurate at close range, looks like a one or two shot max deal though huh?

When I was a young sailor in the eighties, I was there twice. Would you believe both times I was picked up by "bobbies" and turned over to Shore Patrol just because I chose to punch one of their citizens instead of listen to him run America down. They do suck and they are :D.
