colt 22 stainless pistol. anyone know anything

I got one of these from my grandfather, very reliable and accurate shooter. anoyone know anything about these?? here are some borrowed pics of what one looks like, I know there are 2 version a 4.5" barrel and a 6" with a adjustable target sights.

I had one. Used to be called the Cadet, then they got sued and so they called it the Colt 22. It's the same design as the Neos and the High Standard Duramatic. There is a Target model, but it looks like you have the standard.

Mags are interchangeable with the Neos, which is great because they're super cheap.

Mine was a tank and really accurate. Yours is probably the same. The biggest complaint against this gun is the position of the mag release. Easy to pop it loose by accident if it's riding in the holster.

neos and high standard duramatic, who makes those??? I know mine isn't the target model, as mine has the shorter barrel and doesn't have the rear target sight

I believe the Neos is made by Beretta.

The Duramatic by High Standard is not made any more. There is a new company called High Standard out of Texas. They only market high end .22 pistols from the old line. They are having mixed results. I have a 1956 model. The old ones still comand a price and can be found on Gunbroker.

Mine looks a lot like that one, only mine has Colt 22 Target on the side.

mine just says colt 22, I would kinda like to get a target barrel and sight for mine, but I doubt I would be able to find one and I really need to keep some cash.
