Need some help from you XD experts. I have a XD45LE. It is a 4 inch Service size weapon in 45GAP. I am looking at holsters and I am not sure

what size I should be looking for......the XD45LE being 45 Gap and not 45acp is not very popular in holster listings as there are not many out there I am thinking that all XD "service size" are the same physical size and the XD45 may be a little bigger???-------------I just don't know.

I actually think it's the same frame size as 9mm, .40, .357

I have a set of CT grips for an XD9, and it lists the .45 GAP as one of the models it will fit.

.45

This here should fit it.

Left hand

"Dual Carry" for Springfield XD .45 4" Barrel LH

Right hand

"Dual Carry" for Springfield XD .45 4" Barrel RH

Holsters are easy to find if you use the internet.

it is the same size as a XD-9/40/357 service, the xd-45 or -M series is a different frame

Nightrunner-----------I think you might be right.

Thanks everybody.

Best to accompany arrogance with accuracy. :-\

Great holster, wrong size.

Nightrunner has it pegged.

Should be 4 inches if it is service 5 inches if it is tactical. How am I wrong?

the XD-9/40/357/45GAP is one frame size, not slide but frame size, and the XD-45ACP has a larger frame.

Which is why precision holster makers have different molds for the .45acp models.

Bullard, who Alpha linked, has 4" and 5" models for 9mm/.40/.357/.45GAP.

And separate models for 4" and 5" .45ACP.

And of course, another model for the Sub Compacts.

All these makers, when they say "XD .45", mean .45ACP. Bullard just didn't mention .45GAP in the first series, I guess because there are so few out there. I've read couple places that XD has ceased making the .45GAP, but it's still shown on their site as an option, so dunno about that.

The only major holster maker that I've noticed which doesn't distinguish between the .45ACP model is Crossbreed, who lumps all service XD's, but I don't understand how the .45ACP would fit well in those. Crossbreed also doesn't take into account barrel/slide length on same frame guns either, since the barrels all stick out the bottom, the longer the barrel the more they protrude.
