I got one for my son when he got honor roll. It was his cool rifle and I always used my AMT-Lightning or 10-22. But I've been shooting the heck out of it lately. On another post here you can get the link to get cheap magazines. I use the cheap Wal-Mart .22's and no issues. Over 2000 rnds and still going strong. I normally wait a few years for bugs and such to be worked out but he wanted it and I'm glad I bought it.

I got mine last week, took it out shooting on Saturday. It runs like a top and is plenty accurate. It did not like the Remington Golden Bullets at all, wouldn't feed them. Federal Bulk Pack runs just fine. Controls work the same as my AR which is what really sold me on it.

I waited to buy one with a threaded barrel and flash suppressor. I intend to put a sound suppressor on it one day, but for now it looks much more evil than those without a flash suppressor .

I'd go ahead and get them other than extractor problems I really haven't heard anything bad about these rifles. I really want one myself, also I'd avoid Remington golden bullets they might be the junkiest .22 ammo ever. S&W also has a great warranty so I wouldn't hesitate.
