So happy we weaned ourselves off of milk. Expensive when you buy a half-gallon and it sours before you finish half of it. Get the calcium from cheesy pizza and other foods. I'd be a snotty mess if I drank any now.

My wife the milk snob finally found a powdered milk she likes. It doesn't have that common 'powdered milk' taste. We have about a dozen #10 cans on the shelf - a good years supply, at least.

As for bread, she makes her own... lucky me!

Hey Greg, ice in Lafayette this a.m. ha-ha.

It's balmy way down here in Carthage. Filling up the kiddie pool, crankin' up the grill.

Pfftt...It's winter time in NE TN. When you live up here you stay stocked up, because you never know. We may get just a little snow every year for a decade, and then BAM! 3 feet with 6 foot drifts! The mountain weather is unpredictable. That said, I need to get out to the store some time today. I ran out of Coke the other day, and I only have 2 Mountain Dews and a Red Bull left...

stooped tooday already to get milk. Did my part for the economy. Also picked up a weekends worth of smokes and diet Pepsi. Plenty of alcohol on hand always.

I can say that we could go a month on food, the old lady is a pack rat and the freeezer is stuffed. Plenty of propane and charcoal. If that fails I got wood.

Low carbers don't need no steenking milk and bread.

I'm gonna walk over by Kroger in a little bit for entertainment. Figure it'll be about 25% of what a real SHTF food panic would look like.

Did not see the herd of lasses.

4:20: little parking, every lane open and jammed, people actually waiting on carts. Just walked through to warm up a minute.

Walked on over to Goodwill, bought 12 books, half of them hardbacks, for $3.25. Big spender.

I havw 2 30lb propane tank full for heat and cooking off of and apartial 20 lb. a power interveter that i can hook the wood stove blower up to in case of power outage, just start the car and bump up the idle a little bit and get extension cords. oh and a bunch of wood in the house so it can lose any dampness from being outside for a long time.

Good thinking, there. Worst case scenario, the evil white death from above is pretty much gone by Tuesday, leaving you nearly a case a day until rescue.
