Yeah, but can you buy direct, or do we need to start designing a plan right now to infiltrate?

You'd be surprised at what a badge and a gun can get ya... :bowrofl:

But didn't they say salt was bad for the concrete you cherish. May need to make a trip to the auto store for the good stuff.

Sevierville, huh?

Yeah, I guess you do hope they're wrong...

Here's the map for the probability of a quarter inch or more of freezing rain/ice:

"Below you see the latest thinking by the HPC on where the chance is of a SIGNIFICANT icing (.25″ of an inch or more):"

had a snow shovel back in the early nineties when we lived in north Illinois. When we packed up the truck to move I left it leaning in the garage for the new resident.

Weather service out of Morristown last said 5 to 9 inches in the valley. I hope it is 10.

I have a coal shovel now, it works good enough for snow.

Plenty of adult beverages on hand if I choose to go that route.

Yeh, after that speech by the annointed one, ole algore

is unable to control global warming, once again.

I remember that ice storm so well. Downtown Clarksville

and no power for eight days. CDE and I had a few words

over that. My neighbors power back on in two. That was

rough. Early seventies a bad one, too. I still have a rusty

snow shovel.

I hope we get a foot of snow!! I got a Land Rover and I'm not afraid to use it!!! Since I haven't found any trails nearby to go off-roading, I'll have to make do with a snow storm.

No snow shovel but I have a big ol' grain scoop, a 4wd Deere with a FEL and back blade. Then there is the Jeep Rubicon with front and rear lockers.:D And then there are the woodpiles stacked high.:D Got to go make the milk, bread and eggs run. Just about like FL when the big winds were a commin'. Almost forgot the two gensets with about 50 gal of fuel and the chainsaw with a gallon of fuel mix.

I went to the store and stocked up on some necessities. A 12 pack of Yeungling and a 12 pack of New Belgium 1554.

Just measured. For me that would be 31 inches deep with my socks on. Can you picture all of us actually measuring?

But.. but... Al said that the earth was warming!

Anyway, I dont own a snow shovel, but up on the ridge we get much less snow than anyone else. Just gotta worry bout the ice.

My wife was just on the phone with her parents in PA... And they said they had heard that Nashville was expected to get 10 to 15 inches of snow by Saturday... to which my wife said "Okay, what have y'all been smoking? 'Cause the local stations are only calling for 4 to 5 inches".

They claimed they saw the report on the Weather Channel.

Anyway, to make a long story short, we just saw, with our own two eyes, the weather channel here claim Nashville can indeed expect 10 to 15 inches of snow out of this deal... so apparently the inlaws aren't on crack after all.

Looks like it's gonna be a fun storm.

I prefer cherry-flavored crack.

Mike, would you feel safe enough to eat the snow with some of your wintery drinks?
