they make some very powerful pepper spray for around 50 or 60 bucks(check online the stuff from wally world or a dealer wont hurt a fly),or maybe a stun gun would suit you well.

Actually the fees are $7.00 for a short from and $12.00 for the long form. If you order additional copies of the same record at the same time the additional copies are only $4.00 for short or long forms. However there is an additional $10.00 fee for ordering them online.

By law T.C.A. 39-17-1351(k) they should sent you a written notice within 10 days with exact information as to why. Depending on what is in the letter, maybe you can appeal.

I should have been more clear in my latest response. I did not fill out the application or even taken a class yet, I was just looking into it to see if I could. The nice folks on here told me to call up TDOS and ask, so that is what I did this morning but unfortunately I can't carry now according to the lady who answered the telephone there. But at least I didn't spend the $200 plus and then find out I couldn't. I probably will not write a letter asking again.

You can also look into alternatives, like pepper spray, stun guns, and the like.

The bright side is that you have 200 bucks you can spend on another gun!!

Just to add....my DUI from 10 years ago came into play...I had to get original court documents from CA, to ship to Nashville... I still got my permit (got it Saturday)

I was curious how that was going.
