In his Columbine film he opens a bank account to get a gun of his choosing. He edited out A LOT of the details that allowed this exchange and when you see him leave the bank with it, he wasn't supposed to. The best part starts at 3:23. Enjoy the aggravation and giggles.

No surprise to me. Lib Rule# 1: In the absence of facts, lie!

Oh come now. Bush and Cheney anyone? Number one rule of politics is: In the absence of facts, lie!

Good post, Jack.

Also, don't feel too bad about Memphidishu being the "drain-hole of the state". Physics tells us that high always flows towards low. When not-miserable gets too rampant in the (liveable) parts of the state, it has to flow somewhere, and will go to where not-miserable is least concentrated. It will be drawn to the spot where there is less of it than anywhere else.

Memphis sucks. It's science.

For starters, I am a moderate. For seconds, WMD. If we can agree that that was a crock, there won't be much we can agree on politically.

Every politician is full of it, period. I just tend to have a particular distaste for the politicians who are full of it to make their buddies rich on no-bid war contracts.

P.S. I amend my comment. We can certainly agree that Moore is a slimeball. The worst part of that film was that the Heston speech is also heavily, heavily edited to make him say things he never even said.

If Memphis is the drain then everything must pass thru Jackson, and as it is in true science, the closer you get to the drain the more of whatever is flowing gets stuck to the sides of the pipe.

Also as in science once the drain is full or even near full it begins to back up.......Because of these two reasons Jackson is pretty full of slime also.

This is confirmed by the crime stats that per capita keep Jackson in the top 10-15 ahead of many cities that are many times larger. In the latest with Memphis at #2 in the nation and Jackson at #13, both are ahead of places like Orlando FL and Stockton CA !

Memphis sucks

Jackson sucks

And to not Hi-jack the thread

Mike Moore sucks also.....All in their own special way.

... For seconds, WMD.

:hiding: Let's see, in Iraq they found thousands of nerve gas artillery shells, some filled, some not. They found machinery used to refine Uranium. They found a facility that Saddam buried in the sand that was filled with refining materials and had radioactive traces. There was the lab producing anthrax. Iraqi scientists and military officers have all said that Saddam had programs working on chemical, biological, and radioactive munitions. Additionally, there has been a lot of captured documentary evidence supporting the claim that during the initial stages of the war, Saddam moved a lot of material to Iran.

Saddam used chemical weapons on Iran during the Iran-Iraq war, he gassed the Kurds periodically, and tested weapons on dissidents.

How much evidence do you NEED? :biglol:

I'm tired of people saying people lied when they were in fact wrong. Being wrong does not make you a liar, and to claim so just makes you look foolish. Foreign intelligence agencies said Iraq had WMDs also, so knock it off with the "Bush Lied" claims. It is within the rhelm of possibilities that whatever WMDs there were are now in Syria. "Chemical Ali" didn't get his nickname for fertilizing flowers after all, and there were plenty of trucks driving into Syria before we got into Iraq.

Sorry, but it pisses me off when people without knowledge call others liars.

I think liberals, progressives, whatever, think that George Bush personally led a commando team deep into the sands of Iraq to find WMD's and then lied about it. The Bush Lied - People Died crowd amaze me. You'd think the foam at their lips would be a WMD by itself.

So THAT'S what it's like to have your thread derailed! It's quite a lot of fun, actually. Mods, please let 'em have at it. I'd like to see where this goes. :D (Granted, there's not a lot to say on this topic.)

Perhaps you should be more clear about what areas you want to discuss, because discussing a screaming liberal lying in a film, (Michael Moore), seems exactly on topic.

AND...on top of ALL OF THIS...Kerry said Saddam had WMD, Hillary said he had WMD, Billary said he had WMD, Obama said he had WMD, and so on and so on. Did they all lie too?

That intelligence was cherrypicked to make a case for war–a war a lot of people got rich from, and patriotic Americans paid the price for. We can play a semantics game about the meaning of the word lie, and you can call me foolish all you want, but that doesn't change what happened. It was a weak, manufactured case for for an unnecessary war. Traces of this, traces of that. Nerve gas was what not what we were told was there, and to pretend like that is some vindicating fact is utterly disingenuous. There was much worse going on elsewhere, before, during, and after Saddam. We never felt the need to intervene. Iran was an is a greater threat. The humanitarian argument is B.S., because after the Day of the Marines in Somalia, the unspoken policy because to sit on our hands for every African genocide like Rawanda, and Darfur. There was little to no 9/11 connection in Iraq, and yet somehow you are trying to tell me that deposing the one secular leader in the region is a just response to attacks from Bin Laden's terrorist network?

All I am saying is that there is such a heard-like mentality in our political system. People simply can't get past left and right. Those on the left will never leave their camp, and those on the right won't leave theirs. Moore is an idiot, and should be publicly ridiculed as one. His practices are unethical, and his logic is anything but. However, he is no different than the Glen Becks of the world. Their stock and trade are emotion and character attacks disguised as logic. The sooner we ship them all off the better our public discourse will be. But, we won't, because people refuse to look at the world from outside their own camp.

The supreme court just dealt perhaps the greatest blow to the bill of rights ever, granting corporations the same rights as individual citizens, yet because the conservative justices did it, many on the right are unwilling to question it, even hailing it as a victory.

I just get tired of coming on here and reading about these silly statements about straw man "liberals." The country has become so divided that we can't see we are getting screwed from both sides. From where I sit, it only looks to be getting worse.

Well at least you didnt lie, Micheal Moore did and his words and films are in fact used as weapons and are in need of mass destruction.

References to Memphis sucking was in response to your old member tag, and that is also not a lie if you were referring to crime rates.

Now it has changed to "your mother sucks" A statement which I can not confirm nor deny as I never asked mine when she was alive and dont know anyone eles's.

As for a trace here and a trace there not meaning anything, that would appear to be a mis-statement as a single strand of ones hair and thus your DNA at a crime scene will get you convicted.

If you were not there how did your hair (trace) get there? If there were no WMD in Iraq how then did the traces get there?.....

Next.....:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

My "drain-hole" description is still there. The "Mother sucks" is a quote from the avatar.

Do you have proof that the information garnered from multiple foreign intelligence agencies AND an intelligence agency headed by a CLINTON appointee was cherry-picked, or are you making baseless accusations again? What I do believe is that if someone tried to assassinate my father I would be predisposed to believe negative information about the assassin, and in this case, would look to it to justify a war to destroy him.

I've never heard of a "heard-like" mentality, but I have heard of a herd-like mentality, and I can assure you that I’ve never been accused of behaving as such.

Considering foreign governments, (China, for one), contributed to Clinton’s campaign, I have mixed emotions about the ruling. I don’t believe legal entities have the same rights as a human: therefore, should not be contributing to campaigns. I also believe that foreign governments should not be allowed to contribute to campaigns as well.

I also seeing the country getting screwed by a two-party system, but it would take the centrist majority banding together to change it.
