Hi All,

I live and work in Bristol. I work at King Pharmaceuticals. I recently accepted the nomination for president of our newly formed Tri-Cities chapter of Oath Keepers. If you don't know what Oath Keepers is, please visit Oath Keepers Oath Keepers – Guardians of the Republic. In short, we are a non-profit organization that is pro-second amendment. We endeavor to keep the United States Constitution at the forefront of the minds of law enforcement and military personnel who accepted certain obligations via the oath they took to uphold the Constitution. We don't want the military occupying the streets of American cities which is unconstitutional without the establishment of martial law. We are concerned about the possibility of military or law enforcement officers removing guns from American's home without our consent as a power grab for the Executive Branch of our Government or the New World Order. Oath Keepers has over 30,000 members. Oath Keepers was founded in April of 2009. Membership growth has been phenomenal. This phenomenal growth is evident in the Tri-Cities as well.

If it is allowed, I'd like to post the date, time, and location of our next public meeting. I will wait until the moderators advise me on this though.

I own three hand guns and one rifle. I carry a current concealed handgun permit in the state of Tennessee and I believe that we have an obligation to carry if we have permits in order to be able to protect the sheep where we work, shop, and play.

What problem do you have with my intro? I hope everyone realizes I am not selling anything but American values and a little American history.... I had assumed that my introduction of Oath Keepers would be within the spirit of a forum called Tennessee Gun Owners. As a new member though, I'll acquiesce and remove parts of my post if it is inappropriate, just let me know.

No no....i agree with THAT completely.

The problem I have may be an oversight, and some see it as no big deal.

It's just one of my pet peaves.....in Tennessee we are not issued "concealed handgun permits".

And, oathkeepers looks like a reputable organization. I'll keep reading, and thanks for the link.
