Not sure if this is the right place for this post . I have OLD Western Field 12 ga. . It does not have any model # . The only markings is Wersternfield a Pointer dog in some tall grass and it says proof tested 12 ga. Is there any way to get info on it with the serial # . Thanks

Western Field was a "Store Gun" brand sold under Montgomery Wards. No serial # would indicate it was probably made before WW2. Depending upon the configuration it could have been made by any number of manufacturers (example a Browning model 30 was also marketed under Western Field). They were inexpensive guns when new and the years have done little to enhance their value. If you post clear a pic of it, we may be able to identify the original manufacture.

It is a Browning model 30. Depending upon condition they fetch between $150-$250. Here's another more reasonably priced...
