I've had my license for three years and have never been contacted by the ATF other than the occasional update letter. I guess they aren't near as concerned about us C&R folks as they are the Type 01 holders

Meet a guy last week first i have ever heard of this local anyway he had his records check he is a c&r holder. he lives in mufreesboro said they check all his guns records everything.

got the forms today, look pretty straight forward. Guess I'll get them sent back off tomorrow or next day. Then the wait starts. And I guess my first purchase will be a CZ-82 or a Mosin. I think the blood bank will soon have a seat with my name on it and I will have a season pass for donating. This could get expensive......the only thing that I was not sure about was the part asking if I had a hunting license or permit issued by a State. If I didn't have a license I would most likely not receive the C & R cause I would most likely not be eligible for owning a gun. So I listed my HCP license......didn't know what else to do.

I wish I would have read this first, my dumbass did the same thing but after double checking and re reading it I put a line through all of those entries and wrote N/A next to them, Hopefully that will fly as I sent them off today

I mailed my application on 3/1. The ATF says they received it on 3/15 (14 days from Knoxville to Atlanta? Another efficiently run government institution!). I received my approval in the mail yesterday, 4/29. Sounds as if I am one of the lucky ones!

DavidM, that sounds like real snailmail. Mine took about 80 days or so to get back. I hope yours is way faster.

Just got mine today, about a 6-7 week wait. Not too bad I guess. Now to send out some copies and add to the collection.
