This and the chase scene from Bullitt are two of my favorite car scenes...

The car used was a MB 450 SEL 6.9 with the dubbed soundtrack of a 275GTB. Shot in one take it is estimated the car reached speeds of 136mph. Considering it was shot in one take without the permission of the authorities or assistance with traffic, it's pretty darned amazing...

Pretty darn amazing is right...love the squeal of bias ply tires too...Bullitt still ROCKS though
