Well, here's another new guy. Originally from Shelbyville but now living in Columbia. I've been shooting since I was a boy but when I moved to Columbia nine years ago, I no longer had a place to shoot. Well, I recently caught the "gun fever" again and started re-educating myself as to what's new in the world of firearms. The web is a wonderful thing ain't it? I ran across this forum by accident and now here I am. I normally hang out on Delphi's motorcycle forums so this format is gonna take some getting used to. :P

My gun inventory includes several old and almost worthless long guns that I've inherited. My favorite among them being a Savage 219 in .22 Hornet. That was grandpa's groundhog eradicator.;)

My handguns are nothing fancy.

S&W model 10-.38 special

Rossi-.38 special

Ruger P95-9mm

Ruger LCP

Ruger MkII-bull barrel.22

Looking forward to learning a lot here. Thanks for letting me in but that causes me to question your judgement.

You are absolutely correct but I did say "almost worthless". Of course I meant monetarily. There sentimental value is beyond measure.

Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome from just south of Columbia. I too have some inherited firearms that were recently handed down to me. Some aren't worth much, and some are worth alot, but either way there is no amount of money that could make me part with them. I have a wide range of cheap, and expensive firearms, and some of the most fun I've had shooting can come from some of the cheaper ones.

Welcome, I personally really like the Hornet.

Me too. It hasn't been fired in years. I just recently found a local range so I'll be blowing the dust out of it soon. It's got a terrible trigger though. I need to get that lightened up someday.

I hear you. I am in no way a gun snob. The cheap ones go "bang" just like the expensive ones.
