I am sure if some fine employee of The Tennessee Department of Revenue saw this post they would say not only are you to purchase the stamps but also pay sales tax. We are all law abiding citizens of the state of Tennessee so I am sure we follow the law.

Nothing special to do; if they ship Fed Express you do have to sign for it.

That's a negatory....same with UPS. I've had tons of ammo left on my door step. Both FedEx and UPS have told me it's up to the drivers whether or not to get someone to sign. If no ones home to sign, it costs the company more to keep the package and transport it back and forth...they'd rather leave it at the door UNLESS the shipper wants it signed for. Then the shipper HAS to request it.....:)

If shipper doesn't specify sig, then you're correct for both services. However, for FedEx all ammo is sent Ground/Home Delivery. It doesn't cost "FedEx" one cent to re-deliver, it's all done by contractors on their nickle, not FedEx's, who couldn't care less how many times the driver has to attempt re-delivery.

FedEx Ground/Home is less likely to leave in "iffy" situation too, since a claim would likely come out of their own pocket.
