Buzzards got to eat too! Other yotes for that matter! But I hear you WD. If those removal agreements are put in place than what else you gonna do but adhere to them? I would personally not use 22LR but if thats what you got......just keep it close or like you said, shotgun!

That being said if all you got is a 22LR and you got land (yours or permission given) then until the state mandates caliber/ cartridge/ energy restrictions for this type of game on private land (which they might have for all I know), I wouldn't let that stop anyone of you or the OP from going ahead. DRT or DSOL (dead sooner or later) works on this type of game species.

Off topic slightly but 223 is good for deer here in TN and many use it but it lags in performance and doesn't get bashed the way 22LR is for coyotes. And deer is much more of a prized game animal IMO.
