Just wanted to let you guys know about a promo we have recently started at work (hhgregg).

If you sign up for DirecTV (have to be a new customer) and purchase a 37" Panasonic LCD for $499, you get a $500 gift card, which equals free tv.

all locations are participating, although I can process everything over the phone and set you for pickup at a local store. That way I know you get taken care of and my store gets the activation.

You pay for the TV out of pocket, however they will send you a $500 Visa gift card that can be used just like a credit card. It takes 6 to 8 weeks to receive the card.

The only required upfront cost for directv is the $20 they charge for shipping. Right now they are running a free upgrade to 1 HD DVR box (normally 199) and you can get up to 3 more standard boxes free. If you want more HD DVR's, hd boxes, or regular DVR, there is some upfront cost.
