The trouble seems to be on the other side:

1st "the last offer that we were very happy with"

then "you sold our house without talking to me first?! "

Why was the same amount of money good at one time and not the other?

You have got to be kidding me....."a rookie mistake?" Who the hell wears the pants in your house? Man up, put her in her place, sign on the dotted line and move on.

sheesh......what has happened to all the men of this country?

Spot on there. All it would have taken was a simple phone call.

"honey we got a new offer that matches the other one, what do you think?"

GMAFB.....I am married. Have been for 16 years. His (the OP) "dilemma" is not about marriage, it's about manning up and taking charge. She was obviously fine with the offer of the same amount that the original buyer backed out of, why should he(the OP) have to get "her permission" to accept the same offer from a different buyer? (kahrman)..."because she's in control, not me" (kahrman).....:slap:

Dude, it is not about manning up or control. It is about respect. A marriage is an equal partnership. I would be ticked if my wife accepted an offer on our house without telling me.

My82cam was just making a light hearted comment about a mistake and was looking for a little support from his friends here not to be told he is not a man. You really need to lighten up. :slap:

Even if the offer is identical to one they BOTH previously accepted? Respect? Equal partnership? That goes both ways......she was happy with the same amount from a previous buyer that backed out, why the hell does he have to get her permission to accept the SAME offer from a different buyer?

Damn....the pussification of men in this country is sickening.

Maybe its just"that time of the month" for her.I'm sure she will chill out and see

that this is what you both wanted eariler.

At best, selling your home and moving can be a traumatic experence.Just try

to be understanding and help her cope with this.

Moving out of ones home is no small thing for a woman no matter what the reason.
