I have a Remington 1100 12GA magnum. Is it common for these guns to not cycle light loads? Cycles 1 1/4 oz. fine but doesn't cycle 1 1/8 very well if at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks can you help me out with the proper order?

I had a 1100 that would not cycle any cheap wal-mart low brass loads.

Would go through slugs and 00/000 full loads like a fat kid through cake though.

Yes, that's very common on the magnum. The mag only has one gas port and will not cycle light loads reliably. Mine does the same thing unless I feed it heavier loads.

You can get a replacement barrel with two gas ports. These replacement barrels are designed to shoot steel shot, so it should help out with cycling the light stuff.

Thanks to all you guys!! I have cleaned the thing back to like new. I figure it's the loads. Anybody have a barrel with chokes for sale?
