Bipod mounting on AR

I need som ehelp. I just got a great varmint upper for my AR and want to mount a bipod. I'm just not sure of the best way to go. It has a free floating handguard and their is no bayonet lug.

Can anyone recommend a good bipod mounting solution? My only thought was to replace the gas block but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the free floating barrel?

I had the exact same setup on a 24" AR. I had Predator Custom Shop in Knoxville drill and tap thread holes to mount a Harris bipod directly to the free float hand guard.

Are you sure that's an AR? In any case, you can get a short piece of picatinny rail and drill/tap the handguard and mount you a harris. Or just use some really good duct tape.

Harris Bipods

Its an AR for sure. Heres the full pic

How much did it cost for the place in Knoxville to drill and tap?
