Read about this on a Glock Forum. Just your regular old crayons rubbed over

the engraved lettering. Used "Brick Red" for the "HK" and "White" for the rest. Thought It looked pretty neat.

I may clean it off and try "HK USP COmpact" in Red, and the rest in Grey next time.

Anyone else ever tried it?

Looks kinda cool.

Might want to invest in something a little more permanent though, instead of Crayola. lol

Looks nice, I "know a guy" who uses white out and tooth picks to fill it in and you could probably figure out some dye for the red.

I use Testor's Model Paint and tooth picks for filling in any engraving I want painted.

I did this to my Springfield Armory XD45. I used blue Testor's enamel paint. It was a royal pain to get it to stay in the shallow engraving on the slide, requiring numerous coats and a lot of patience, but I think it turned out well.

Yeah. Heat and wax don't plat together very well. LOL!!

Thought this would be a good (and easy) way to try out different

colors. I also read that some people were using nail polish.

Not sure how well that would work.

If I decide to go permanent, I'll use the model paint as suggested.

Didn't think about that.

That blue looks awesome Sheepdog!

I have plans to put Spinners, a fart can muffler, and a big wing on my H&K.:(

Kidding, I like the color on the H&K.

that high heat spray paint works well also, just spray a little on a rag and dab it in, last longer than the crayon. but my red crayon on my xd service has lasted almost a year and still looks good sooo... i guess it's all up to the user:koolaid:
