Also, mike hamilton told Chattanooga Times Free Press that last night he flew out to Colorado Springs on business and arrived back in Knoxville at 3:30 am this morning, slept a couple of hours and then went to work to "hit it hard". Then now tonight Troy Calhoun is holding press conference at 7:50 pm weird man weird.

I do not doubt that it was but it is weird is all. Also, cutcliffe is a stupid hire. He was not successful as a head coach at ole miss or really at duke for that matter. He is best suited for say offensive coordinator or something but not head coach. Also, it has been suggested that if Hamilton hires cutcliffe his job is toast for 2011.

This certainly would give merit to them removing the coaching staff from the Duke website. Supposedly, Hamilton according to sources is supposed to have a press conference either tomorrow or the next day to announce the new coach.

I wouldn't say "stupid" but he wouldn't be my first choice.

But then, (reportedly) his first two choices have told him "thanks but no thanks" so Hamilton is very near doing the walk of shame.

As I said earlier......if all's he going to do is bring back an old UT journeyman, just let Kippy stay and see what he can do with it.

WBIR sister station is reporting a reliable source as saying David Cutcliffe is the Vols' next coach--but now, WBIR contributor Brent Hubbs of Volquest.com is reporting he's spoken to Cutcliffe personally--and Cutcliffe told him that report is not true.
