Hello all,

I'm new here, and the most recent thread I could find on this subject was from August 2008...

Basically, I'd like to know what our options are for shooting rifles within a 35-45min drive of Nahsville.

Public or private doesn't matter.

Thanks guys :tough:

David

Stay away from Cheatham WMA. It's like a special ed classroom combined with a gunshow. If you do go, get good directions, and be prepared to be flagged pretty much the whole time you are there.

Good to know!

The Stones River HEC is the closest to me (~20miles) but I like the weekday option offered by CHMR...

What do you all think my odds are for getting into the Gallatin Gun Club? :tough:

+1 to CHMR. It's kind of basic but Charlie's a great guy and the shooters there are good folks.

+1 for CHMR. as mentioned, Charlie is a super guy...and the folks shooting there seem to be really nice as well.

Ive been to Stones River and its really nice just not open on the weekends. CHMR is a bit far from me so I've never been. You could also check out OnTarget in the buro I think they have a rifle lane and are open til 8 or 9. Ive been they many times and they are really cool guys there.

StonesRiver is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday but it is a great place to shoot and the RSO's are very helpful

And a bit overbearing. I prefer Terry Walden's place in Manchester. Don't remember the address but I'm sure you can google it. It's on 16th Model Road.
