Inspired by this thread, http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tennessee-politics-legislation/33067-gubernatorial-candidates-positions-guns.html

I have researched and found this article from the Commercial Appeal Tennessee gubernatorial candidates answer questions about guns The Commercial Appeal- it outlines the questions posed in the pdf printed from the Knoxville link and adds five more questions, and the candidates responses to them.

Also, candidate Joe Kirkpatrick has responded independently to the questions on my blog - The Usagi blog. Link: USAGI: Narrowing the Field Part IV - Update!!!

Guys & girls, looks like its down to either Ramsey or Kirkpatrick for me. What about you?

I like Haslam and Wamp.

Wamp has more name recognition I believe and will probably win the primary. I also believe he would be the best candidate in the general election as well.

Wamp voted for the bailout so he's already bought, paid for, and ready to do the bidding for those that got him in power. (Hint: It's not us.):)

Haslam signed on with Bloomberg's anti-gun coalition.

Neither one impresses me at all.

Haslam worked his way off my list a few months ago. He is wishy-washy at best on things 2-A. At worst, he might be a closet gun-grabber.

Please view my blog post for reasons I list:

Ramsey here, too. I've had personal interactions with him for the better part of 30 years, and know his level of commitment to these issues (and others). He's a good man.

I've met Ramsey and he is 100% 2nd Amenment. He is the one for us!

Ramsey seems to be a clear choice.

As for Haslam, well, I can respect a man who is committed to his beliefs, even if I disagree with them. Haslam is a classic demonstration of "politically expedient" behaviour. I've got no use for a weasel.

I concur.

Doing a little more research I must say that I retract my earlier like for Haslam. I still think that Wamp will be the best candidate...I didn't necessarily say he'd be the best governor.

We already know where Ramsey stands. As for the others, its all lip service just to get elected, like all of Zero's promises.
