Les Stroud is the man. I didn't know he quit making Survivorman. I'm going to miss that. He played pretty decent guitar and harmonica too. Loved the episode where he caught his shelter on fire.

MVW is great entertainment. There is a lot of good knowledge to be taken from it.

I am glad he came out of the closet about what he is doing though. Nothing wrong with going back to the Hilton after a heavy day of survival techniques. Most of us could use the same type of practice.

Les is in a whole other league, he talked it and walked it.

Either one are better than the show I saw the other night with Rudy Reyes.

but just to be fair to Bear MvsW,

les stroud had local people teaching him what to eat and what to do on location before he did his 7 days.

basically he knew what he will eat ,and where he will spend each night.

even les strout had to quit earlier twice. one time do to snow condition,

and other time his equipment was failing.

Well, it is TV. It would probably be pretty dangerous just to blindly go into an area and try to survive off it and try to produce a show at the same time.
