Has anyone here tried K&D's belts? K&D Holsters | Custom Gun Leather and Shooting Accessories

I ordered one during his Christmas sale for $55. I hope it will be a good one. I know K&D's holsters are awesome!

I bought a cheap bonded leather belt from Walmart for like $12 and it's already sagging where I wear my holster. I've only been wearing it about three months.

I ordered a k&d belt and holster the week before thanksgiving, so it should be here soon. I'm sure it'll be awesome.

As far as the cost of a good gunbelt, I look at it like this... the last time I asked my wife to pick me up a new dress belt, she just brought back a Polo belt from the mall. I didn't even want to know how much she spent, but I guarantee it was more than the one I just ordered from K&D. So, for less than the price of my last chinese-made designer belt, I'm getting a semi-custom, American-made belt that will probably look good with a suit for years and that will also support a gun or whatever else I want to hang on it. I feel pretty good about that, and I don't even have it yet.

I am saving up to get a Milt Sparks contoured belt ... yup, it is a bit more expensive, in the meantime I will wait and use what I got.

I learned the hard way a long time ago that a good quality tool is much more inexpensive in the long run and provides years of reliable service. The time and money you lose when it does not perform or break when you need it the most kills any savings you incur.

Another technique that I use quite effectively is after I done my research and start saving for the purchase is that I start shopping used market channels. If I come across it while saving, I usually save up to 60% of the purchase price. With the internet resources being what they are today, there are some great deals to be uncovered. You can't find them if you are not looking for them.

I am lucky to get two years service out of a standard leather belt used with a holster. The tanning process on most dress and work belts today is designed to make the leather soft and pliable, plus most belts today are made in China and are constructed out of two or more layers glued together. (bonded leather) Sometimes the label says it, more often than not it doesn't.

I had a couple of belts that were thrown away with less than a year's wear on them because the leather turned brittle and cracked. And those were never used with a holster, just work and formal dress styles. They looked pretty ... but they sure as heck did not last.

You will love the Sparks Belt, It is my favorite and I have tried them all They are worth every cent that you pay for them as are their holsters, you will not be disappointed :D

Got a real sturdy belt at Hammer's. Made be Carhart for around $20. The Co-Op has some nice thick belts also, no where near $60.

Took your advice on the Co-Op and found a Redwing for 24 bucks. Also found they had a small, but decent, stock of ammo.

Sorry you're having a problem, I never had a problem when I ordered mine 2 years ago, who knows? I hear most places are behind due to holiday orders, It is a family owned business, certainly no excuse for poor phone manners.

I bought a 5.11 nylon belt to carry my crossbreed supertuck holster with my Glock 21 and G30 pistols. The belt costed me about $30 bucks and is very sturdy and supportive. I need to find a good leather one too, but I don't want to spend $60 on one either.

I just bought one of the Wilderness Tactical Ring Belts and am very pleased with it. I can wear my M&P with two mags in a double mag carrier weak side and there is no sag whatsoever.

I also have two of the Don Hume trouser belts and they are good belts for the money.

I am now at over a month from Looper. I emailed them to cancel the order. Gonna go with another vendor. I am ok with waiting sometimes. Not happy with the complete lack of communication though.

Waiting on The Beltman to answer my email. He charged my debit card yesterday, so I think that's a good sign!

I'll post up when it arrives.
