keltec vs taurus

I have a keltec p11, but I am thinking of trading for a snubbie. I can buy a Taurus snub with a full grip round butt. It is a 5 shot 38 special but does not say +p. I would have to give about 70.00 between the two. Which do you people think is the better gun. The only reason I am considering this is because I have a weak wrist. I have yet to have a failure with the keltec so I don't know if I want to give up the capacity yet.

There is just no way to compare a P-11 to any small revolver; its apples and oranges.

If you want a small revolver and you think recoil may be a problem; stay away from the aluminum, titanium, or unknownium frames and go with steel or stainless. Not only do they have less perceived recoil; they are better quality weapons.

Then you would need to compare the Taurus to the revolver than owns that category; the Smith & Wesson J-frame. Take a look at the stainless Model 60; it can use .38, .38+P, or .357 mag.

Good deals can still be found on the used Pre-Locks, and they will always have great resale.

Also, if you ever want customer service, KT service is as good as it gets; Taurus customer service generally gets bad reviews.

I've owned 3 Taurus handguns. I love the guns but hate the service.

My wife badly wants a Taurus airweight 85. I have a keltec p32 that I wish she liked and would carry but she doesn't care for autos. I had a j frame and it is a night and day difference carrying a slimer lighter keltec compared to 5 shot revolver. It is not designed for +p ammo.

I carried a P11 for nearly a year and finally decided that was not what I wanted to carry. I sold it and moved up to an XD-40c. My was a personal decision on my part and not any particular failure of the P11.

I guess that if I had to choose between the P11 and the Taurus snubbie I would go with the P11.

The only reason I still have my keltec is because I want to go to a XDSC and the wife wants a Taurus 85. I'm looseing the battle. The wife says I already have a XD.

Go KelTec P11. As for Taurus. If you have a gun that doesnt have issues then you wouldnt need service. Subpar brands have subpar service.

Sorry, JMO!!! I wouldn't trade any KT for any taurus, just too unreliable, hit or miss on quality, and WHEN it needs service, not if ,they have to send them all the way to brazil to be fixed. You can understand the problem with a fast turn-around time.
