1st Congressional District Democratic Ex-Candidate Threatens Folks

Well, the title pretty well sums the situation up, but to put more words in it, the Democratic Ex-Candidate for the House of Representatives seat in the First Congressional District of Tennessee, Rob Russell, has taken to threatening people over differences of opinion online (language warning, for those with sensitive eyes). To wit:

You, however, have demonstrated considerable irresponsibility in your arguments and in your personal attacks on this blogger, who also happens to be my wife. Send me your home address and I’ll come to your house and punch your {deleted} face in. Unless you are a {deleted} who can’t fight without a gun in his hand.

Granted, running as a Democrat in the Tri-Cities area (which has been Republican for over 100 years now) was not exactly the brightest move in the whole wide world, but this new violent tendency almost sets that bar for stupidity, especially if he is planning on political aspirations in the future.

Just wanted to let those of you in that corner of the state know...

Just spank him if ya see him. Or, better yet, have your wife do it in public while you hold him -- HEHEHE. I will be glad to help with any needed bail dollars if ya need em. He appears to be the typical in your face jackass that our current culture is producing. I think he is nuts to think that he can intimidate anyone in the Republican political scene east of the Tennessee River; much less all the way to the Tri-Cities. There ain't hardly enough Demorats to have an election in upper East Tennessee. He'll most likely fade into obscurity -- a place worse than hell for the politically motivated.

Tell your wife that she is in great company. There are some people you dont want to like you. Remember Winston Churchill's great quip: "...you are known just as well by your detractors as you are by your admirers. .."There are simply some people that you don't want to like you.

Thanks for the offer, Leroy, but I am definitely happier simply exposing this individual for what he is, rather than giving him the martyrdom he appears to so desperately desire. After all, elections for that district should be coming up this year, and who wants to lay odds that Rob Russell is considering going for it again?

Well, if you read it in the context of the full comment it's not exactly as it sounds. The first part of his comment is actually reasonable. The second part he just lost his mind.
