Is on AMC tonight at 8:00!

Nazis, Clint and a caper. It doesn't get any better than that...my wife is going to be pissed. :(

Blazing Saddles comes on after. :P

I just can't watch movies with commercials anymore, even if they remain uncut (which is rare).

Both are great flicks though.

I am checking On Demand right now to see if Kelly's Heroes is there. I will watch it either way.

Actually the commercials help with my AADD anyway. I about can't sit through a movie without them.

Great movie. Been looking forward to it since I saw it advertised this afternoon.

This is why I actually like to record first on DVR & watch later.

What about Unforgiven, on right before?

Kelly's Heroes is one of my favorite WWII movies.

Yep

It finished and Kelly's Heroes came on.

The song Oddball plays during the tank attack on the railway yard ("All for the Love of Sunshine") was not written until 1970.

Good thing the movie was released in '70, man. :tough:

Against three Tigers...

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

(I can quote all Clint Eastwood movies verbatim all the way through...to my wife's amazement. I just tell her it's a guy thing. and Kelly's Heroes has been one of my top 5 fav's since it came out.)

I caught the scene where they're forced to ambush a German convoy to try to save two of their guys stuck in the mine field.

Talk about ghetto shooting! They did a nice panning shot, showing guys blazing away. Clearly, only Clint had some training. He had his Thompson shouldered and he was sighting down the barrel. Everyone else was doing the eyes closed, gun-as-far-away-from-my-body-as-I-shoot drill. One guy even had his gun sideways, gangsta glock style.

Sherman tanks helped win the war because there were so damn many of them and we recovered, repaired and put back in service damaged ones, the Germans didn't. There is a book in print that was written by the commander of the tank recovery forces in Europe. It makes for very grim reading.

The Germans called Shermans "Ronsons" or "Tommy Cookers" because they lit the first time, every time.
