My new favorite TV show...

I recently "discovered" Have Gun - Will Travel on the Encore Westerns channel. And it's hella awesome.

That Paladin was a bad mother scratcher....not one to be trifled with

I noticed that on the guide the other night and should have checked it out. I've gotten to a point where about all I watch are older shows, or things on the history channel. Most other modern day TV shows here lately have really made me realize that people are running out of ideas for entertainment.

I love those shows too. Just got through watching an episode of Laredo. The wife bought me the first season DVD set.

I've been DVR'ing HGWT and the old Gunsmoke episodes. Guess I'll hafta stop when the drive gets full. I haven't seen HGWT since I was a kid.

They are also running old episodes of "The Virginian." Man, this brings back SO many memories when I was a kid. Channel 12 in Chattanooga used to run HGWT reruns every night after the 6 o'clock news and my grandfather and I would watch it together. It's the last show we watched together the night before he died in 1966 . . . Best man I ever knew.

Funny you mention that.I have fond memories of watching Gunsmoke with my Great Grandfather every Monday night on Channel 12.We also watched pro wrestling every Sat. afternoon as well.I still remember my Grandmother bitching at him (her Father) for letting her Grandson watch such violent shows.

Oh yeah, growing up in Chattanooga, every Saturday night my Grandfather and I watched Porter Wagoner and then Live Wrestling on Channel 3.
