MMMM, firing a round you KNOW is out of battery... nice.

Well, it's sort of nifty in a sort of survivalist sort of way.

So, I guess it would be totally safe to fire 9x18 in a 9x19 chamber?

I see the 9x18 is .01 inch smaller rim. Standard 9mm chamber mind that?

9X18 is actually a bigger diameter bullet than 9X19 or 9X17(.380). I think in a survival situation that you can safely fire 9X17 in a 9X18. But NO other combination EVER!

OIC. Was comparing case dimensions, forgot about the boolit. :panic:

.356 for para and .365 for the Markarov. I guess that IS too big to chamber without driving it in there with something, which would be yet another Bad Idea.

I'm with you, McA. I love YouTube, and I love gun blogs, but it's only a matter of time before a combination of the two, with a side of ignoramus / willfully stupid moran, is used as an indictment of gun owners in the press, if not in the courts. Oh, and Voldemort. Not a big help.
