Does anyone know of a source for a shoulder holster for a large person? All I have seen say they will fit up to a 48" chest. I wear a 56 xxlong suit. Any ideas?

Just putting myself in that position,if you can't find one, buy the largest leather one you can find and then visit a leatherworker for custom additions to some of the straps.

Some shoe repair places can do creditable work on a variety of leather products too.

Or approach a smaller shoulder holster maker directly; wouldn't work with a biggie like Galco, but might with smaller outfits like HighNoon, off top of my head.

Actually, Galco's custom shop is very friendly and eager to please. Try contacting them.

I've had several dealings with them for custom work, and holsters that were for guns that they normally weren't modeled for (mixed with options from other holsters), and they had no problem performing the requested work.

Ah, good to know...I (obviously) had no idea Galco did that sort of thing.

That might be just the ticket for OP then, since they make some nice shoulder rigs.

What kind of gun are you trying to fit? I think I still have one I had the shoe shop guy "biggerize" for me.

A S&W 910. I had not considered having one enlarged. That might be the trick. I work with a guy that makes custom saddles. I bet he could enlarge the straps for me.

Mine was for a long barreled S&W "N" frame. The guy that did mine basically added about a foot of leather to the end of all the straps. It didn't take long and it was cheap at the time.
