I've run into quite a problem with my brand spanking new Kahr PM9, and so I figured that I would shoot off some PM's to members of the board that I knew had them.

Not only did he quickly answer all of my PM's, but eventually gave me his phone number and we had a 40 minute conversation over the telephone at 1:00 AM to boot! I've never met the man, or spoken to the man until tonight, but he took up a lot of time to help me out and I think we are well on our way to solving the problem.

Anyway, it still never ceases to amaze me the knowledge base that we have at our fingertips here, and also the willingness to share such from these members.

So thanks, Chief (long, old story as to why I call him 'Chief')! And I hope your 'vampire spirit' continues to bless you with late-night energy stores:death:

Even though I still say that this is a naturally occurring phenomenon among the elderly...your energy demands decrease, thus allowing for slower and more deliberate utilization of your energy capacity.

But, 'vampire spirit' sounds good too, Chief!

I think he just called you elderly...:rofl::rofl:;):bowrofl:

not that it isn't true though

Indeed I did, and you quite clearly picked up on the inferred jab!

Takes one (elderly) to know one I guess, Mike!:P

Just got off of the phone with the gunsmith at Kahr. New version of the guide rod assembly and spring is on its way. Apparently, I have the new barrel design, but with the old guide rod style? I know, I know...he was quite baffled as well. The junction of this guide rod and the barrel lug is uniquely necessary, and the old style won't stay put as well, thus causing this wacky misalignment

of the guide rod.

Stand by, and thanks again Chief. And Kahrman!

That's good news, hope that clears it up. Will look for your report.

We both concluded it was a pretty esoteric problem, since we both knew from simple searching that it wasn't a real Kahr "known issue", like the fairly widespread barrel peening of some previous runs.

As to the whippersnappery regarding the elderly, I have only this to say to you all:

um...er...I forgot what I was saying.. ;)

:hijack::rofl::up: he said whippersnappery :lol::rofl::rofl:

I think the way he put it to me was that he "had on underwear that was older than me?"

Although slow, and often dangerous behind the wheel, you gotta love old people...

Bustin' on ya, Chief! :D

Don't pick on guys who walked barefoot in the snow, uphill....BOTH WAYS to get to the range.

Of course, their powder got wet from the snow so they couldn't shoot their muskets when they got there.

Musket balls work great in slingshots!

Ya can punch holes through a sheet of plywood with them. :hijack:

Dang, this is like a Friars Roast.

I feel honored, in a very left-handed sort of way.

Oh yeah...just wait until we roll out the lineup of your ex-girlfriends...::panic:

Then on to the famous "airing of grievances.":D

Nothing to fear from that, most all my erstwhile ladies are quite happy, the ex-wives most of all.

At least you were successful at it. Just not smart enough to make the same mistake once!

Wanna go see Twilight?:panic:

You were right, Chief.

Recoil guide rod / spring assembly replacement seems to have been the solution...

Thanks again.

Yikes! What do you have left that I may want, by the way?

I'm regretting getting rid of "our" CW45 as it is!!!

Avatar is bizarre, yet fun; politicized, yet entertaining.

Kinda like you.:D
