Another American Classic II Range Report

The wife and I went to the range on Saturday. I took AC II Deluxe and my Kimber Pro Carry II was waiting on me when I got there. They said it arrived 5 minutes before I got there. It seems I keep pulling to the left slightly. I believe it is where I have tried to switch from using my first knuckle on the trigger to the meat of my finger. I see to push the gun left by doing this. I might have to accept that I am a knuckle shooter.

Anyway onto the pics:

This is my first few shots @ 7 yards with the new Kimber.

Here I am @ 10 yards. I had a couple of unintentional double taps due to the light trigger. I still need to get used to it.

This is 2 mags @ 10 yards. Once again I had a couple of double taps with it. Overall, not too bad.

2nd time around with the Kimber @ 10 and 20 yards. Another couple of double taps.

2nd time around with AC II @ 7 and 10 yards

2nd time around with AC II @ 15, 20 and 25 yards.

It's obvious I am more accurate with the AC II than the Kimber at this time. The Kimber is a 4.25" barrel so I should be better with the AC II at longer distances. Overall, not a bad day at the range. The wife got to fire 150 rounds through her new Walther P22.

My new Kimber 22LR conversion kit came in today. It looks new. I can't wait to try it out on the next trip to the range.

That's cool. Glad to see another ACII doing well. Awesome gun for the money!

You and I can be the Captain's of the "left push" group!

And since you're having better luck with the ACII, I'l gladly take the Kimber and find it a good home...

The Kimber is a different creature. I love it. I have to get used to that trigger. It is very light and smooth. The only other gun I had where I would accidently double tap the trigger was my Springfield XD45 that I sold so I could buy the Kimber.

The ACII is as solid a 1911 you can buy. The price is you pay is incredibly low for what you get. I've already replaced the grips. I'll try to post some pics when I get back in town.

Cap'n Left Push out!
