Normal winter day, but 3 15min. dry-firing sessions, split by PT, ( man I hate being retired) still left me "jones'n" to burn some powder. An hour check'n TGO, still need my "fix'. Weather...15 degrees, 3in. fresh snow. Ok I'd had enough, went out hung a fresh target, standing on my back porch, 26 and a half yards to my stand, 50rds. through my P22 later, I'll make it till tomorrow!!! Man it's nice to live in the mountains.Ahhhhh.... the fresh smell of Hoppes no. 9 !

Congratulations on having a home where you can step out on your porch and fire away. Always wanted to be able to do that. But my neighbors here in the city take a dim view of it. I think every person in several hundred yards woke up and called the local LEOs when I took out a rampaging possum in the back yard with a flashlight and a .38.

Thanks I'm very blessed to live here, one question,"rampaging possum" ? I got to ask!!

You had to see it to believe. The little sucker kept trying to make a nest in my storage building and I kept running it out. We finally had a showdown about midnight under the full moon. I won the battle. But almost lost the war when Metro arrived to check out the noise.

Every light in the area was on, and several neighbors watching as I explained to a young, thankfully sympathetic and understanding officer about dispatching the critter.:D

Did you get cited or anything? I've wondered what kind of ramifications would come from shooting within city limits. I mean, good reason or not, it wasn't exactly legal use of lethal force, was it? :D

YES! It's great to live away from people.

Shooting in the back 40 is what I'm talking about!:death:

I don't know about Cashville, but in certain parts of Mrimphus, if you aren't shooting your gun at night you are in the minority.
