From Nashville to Bonaire?

Recommended Posts

I know, this is an odd place to post a travel thread, but my experience with TGO says somebody on here might know, so it's worth a shot.

One of my best friends is moving to Bonaire (Netherlands Antilles), and I'll be going to visit, enjoying the island, the diving, etc.

Does anyone know how to get there from Nashville without spending the night in Ecuador? My Orbitz results put me through Miami or Houston, and then an overnight in Quito, Ecuador, before connecting to a KLM into Bonaire. It looks like KLM only flies in once or twice a day, always from Quito, and I'm not sure how I feel spending the night there. My Spanish-Fu is not strong, and Central America is, well, Central America.

Do your thing, knowledge filled gun-toting crazy people. Thanks!

Isn't there any flights from Columbia or Venezuela to Bonaire?

I can't give you the knowledge you seek, but if you stick in the touristy parts of Quito, most people speak English.

Don't try to get away with sleeping at the airport. You're going to get jacked. Just spend the money and stay at a Hilton or some other nice hotel.

Don't leave the touristy area, because, again, you're going to get jacked.

And last, it's South America. Not Central America. Which means, it's summer time there, and the toilet flushes the other way.

Hope you have fun in Bonaire though!

When we went from Puerto Rico to St. Lucia, I am pretty sure that they (American Eagle) had flights going out at the same time from PR to Bonaire.

Sooooo..............Nashville to Miami to Puerto Rico to Bonaire

Disclaimer - I am not a travel agent, and I could be misremembering that day from the alcohol or :D from the humidity.

Go to Chattanooga and take a right.

I have yet to fit my old Blazer with the tactical amphibious combat upgrade, so it looks like I'll be flying.

+1 BigPoppa for the AA info - Orbitz didn't show that.
