I changed Linux distros

Dropped Ubuntu after about 3 years of use - got tired of my system being broken every 6 months when the new versions were released, and having to do a clean install instead of a version upgrade every time. The latest version with KDE4 brought my old box to it's knees.

I downloaded and tried out a Debian live CD and, like magic, everything worked right again.

So now I'm running Debian Lenny on my desktop, but still have Kubuntu 9.10 on the laptop. Haven't decided yet whether to change the laptop.

Debian has the reputation of being the most stable distribution of Linux, and also of being the slowest to change. Both sounded good to me.

Funny. I just booted Ubuntu off my laptop as well. I got tired of having to troubleshoot the wireles issues with my Atheros card. I'm running Mint now, a Debian based distro. All works well out of the box.

If a distro like this, PC linux, or even the 'buntu's could just get THAT much more user friendly, Microsquish would loose even more market share.
