Looks like they got rid of that cylinder lock between the back strap and magazine, but I could be wrong. I really like the grip a lot more on the gen4 since it doesn't have that huge hump in the backstrap and the grip does not have the small needle like texture. That was really uncomfortable to hold, and would rub calluses with continuous firing. Might be getting rid of my g26 and buying one of these....after uncle sam decides to give me what he owes me. This looks like Glock is trying to compete with the SA crowd on the XDM. I had been looking into the XDM 9 3.8 but this is much nicer. :koolaid:

My guess is that Glock already sells about 10 guns for every one XD that Springfield sells, but I think you're right, this will help them carve into that market, as well. I know that the hump on the Glock grip is a negative for some, including me. It's not enough to take me away from Glock, but it IS a negative, just as I much prefer the flat mainspring housing on a 1911.
