J. Floyd's in Sevierville had IO AK-47 with wooden stocks for $299.99 plus Taxs and TICS. Best deal I've seen!

That's worth the drive over the the right side I reckon...now just to convince the wife to let me buy two guns at the same time heh.

I've looked around, all the reviews of them I've seen are for the polymer stock version, and it appears that they vary greatly in quality, including the use of outsourced receivers. However, they were usually sold for anywhere from 500-700 bucks.

I wonder if the wood stocked variants are different in any ways other than the furniture?

I haven't got a clue about how many they had. I was shocked at the price. Would have bought one, but we spent a lot of money at Christmas and are saving for a vacation in March.

If I were you all, I'd call before I went up there. There were a ton of people there and in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville Area in general. There might not be any left. While I was in there a fella bought one of those Remy ARs for about $300 cheaper than any where else he could buy it. That was his exact words. He was quite happy about it too!

hrm...they going out of business? Every year I stop in there when we are on vacation, and every year I walk out shaking my head at their prices. But just like everything else in a tourist town, you gotta calculate in the tourist tax.

Yeah, I never knew them to have good deals on any guns.

Even their Hi-Points are higher than gun show prices...

Far as these I.O. AKs, it's quickly obvious that most forum posters don't think much of them, but then again, if they actually WORK for 3 bills, then hey...

There are a whopping four articles on I.O. website that of course indicate the line is pretty good...

Maybe they are the Hi-Points of AK-dom, which is not a bad thing at all, except that you'll quickly find rants about the poor I.O. customer service, something quite the opposite of Hi-Point.

300 is the least expensive I've seen any AK in quite a while. I'd like to try an AK, so at least with one of these I'm not out five or six hundred bucks if it turns out I don't care for them.
